ACADEMIC ASSOCIATIONS
KALARO works closely with Fashion design students, the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka as well as other private institutions
to promote crafts such as knitting, crochet, embroidery, beadwork, etc. KALARO conducts training courses and workshops
free of charge as a service to Fashion design students as well as emerging young designers. Over the years KALARO has helped students with their Graduation Collections consisting not only Clothing but also Accessories, Jewellery and Lifestyle products.

LIST OF GRADUANDS WHO COLLABORATED THE ACADEMIC COLLECTIONS WITH KALARO
UNIVERSITY WORKSHOPS
Over the years, KALARO has been supporting the University of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka by training the 2nd year students of the Bachelor of Design Honours Degree Programme of both the Department of Integrated Design, Faculty of Architecture, and the Department of Textile and Apparel Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, in hand knitting and crochet techniques to enable them to develop their knowledge in crafts and in the value addition of the apparel industry.
